Member Agreement

MEMBER AGREEMENT

Central Scotland Bikers (CSB) is a Meetup.com group, run voluntarily by it's organisers to and is a friendly local motorcycle group for fellow bikers to meet each other and ride their bikes across Scotland and beyond.

This Member Agreement has been created for the members of the group with safety in mind and in the best interests of the members and organisers of Central Scotland Bikers, a Meetup.com group.

You must be 18 years of age or older to join and be a member of this Meetup Group.

By becoming a member, and by remaining a member of Central Scotland Bikers you are agreeing to the following:

1. You agree you will be active in the group by attending a calendar event or bike ride regularly, at least one rideout every 3 months.

2. You agree that as a member, will treat other members, the organisers of this group with respect and courtesy, both online and in person.

3. You agree that you will update your RSVP accurately. If unable to attend an event for an unseen reason, will change your RSVP to reflect this before the start of that event.

4. You agree that you will update your member profile and provide all the information asked for on your CSB member page, including a photo of you or your bike.

5. You agree that it's your responsibility to ensure you and your bike are road legal and safe to attend any CSB group ride and CSB cannot and does not take any responsibility for checking this. We ask members of CSB have a full motorcycle license (UK A Light Motorcycle, A Standard, A Direct Access or international equivalent) for riding your motorcycle with us on the road. Provisional license holders (L Plates) may come along to non-biking events but can't participate in group rides until they have passed their practical motorcycle test.

6. You agree that you will listen to details of the route and brief provided by the organiser before a run, ride safely within your own limits and those of the law, ride for yourself whilst keeping fellow riders safety in mind while attending any CSB group rideouts.

7. You agree that whilst on ANY CSB RIDEOUT OR EVENT, MEMBERS ARE EXPECTED TO RIDE AT A SAFE LEGAL SPEED and are SOLELY RESPONSIBLE FOR THEIR OWN SAFETY AND ADHERENCE TO TRAFFIC LAWS AND REGULATIONS. If separated from the group as may happen with traffic, whenever possible the rideout leader will try to stop ahead to allow riders to regroup when safe to do so.

8. You agree that if you break down for any reason, it's your personal responsibility to get you and your bike home and although fellow members may try to help as bikers would, there should be no expectation that CSB, it's organisers or members will recover a member or their bike. AA/RAC cover or similar may be a sensible idea if you see fit.

9. You agree that you will read, understand and apply when safe to do so our Group Riding Guidelines and also read and agree to our Message Board Guidelines.

10. You agree that your participation in Central Scotland Bikers events is strictly voluntary, that you freely choose to participate.

11. You agree to release Central Scotland Bikers organisers from any and all liability for legal entanglement, death, or loss of money which might occur as a result of your participation in scheduled events and agree to be responsible for any medical costs that you incur as a result of your participation in Central Scotland Bikers scheduled events.

12. You agree to release Central Scotland Bikers organisers from any and all liability for sickness or injury from whatever source which might occur as a result of your participation in Central Scotland Bikers scheduled events.

13. You agree to release Central Scotland Bikers organisers from any and all liability for damage to or loss of personal property which might occur as a result of your participation in Central Scotland Bikers scheduled events.

14. You agree that you may bring a pillion to any event without notice, a guest to a social event but may not invite guests on bike runs unless they are members of the CSB group.

If you are unsure or have any questions about any of the above we ask you contact the organiser asap and do not attended a Central Scotland Bikers event until you have done so.

We hope to see you at a CSB event soon. smile

Safe Riding,

The Organisers
Central Scotland Bikers
